Hanni Idalgo hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. After having played for 8 minutes, Christiano Zaldua managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Merinos AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Christiano Zaldua was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Joselito Diez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Quexal Cocolina tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Christiano Zaldua sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Guib Oliva recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Guib Oliva could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 30th minute of the match, but Idacio Bullon made a huge save. Quexal Cocolina didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Carmelo Berges went, in the 35th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. In the 41st minute the ball was on its way in behind Merinos AFC's goalkeeper Quexal Cocolina, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Christiano Zaldua in the 46th minute of play forced Chapicuy's goalkeeper Idacio Bullon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

After a rather tough play, Chapicuy's Barto Piega got a free kick in the 51st minute. Guib Oliva took the ball and in the 61 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Idacio Bullon. Idacio Bullon dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Quexal Cocolina showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carmelo Berges in the 69th minute of the match. After 70 minutes, Hanni Idalgo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Merinos AFC and the Chapicuy players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 70th minute, Hanni Idalgo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 71st minute Joselito Diez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Quexal Cocolina saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Bazkoare Robira fell near the penalty area in the 76th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Merinos AFC's protests and gave Bazkoare Robira a yellow card for diving instead. In the 77th match minute, Merinos AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bazkoare Robira to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Chapicuy booed when Merinos AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Txordon Iglesia didn't get a good kick on the ball. Carmelo Berges received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Quexal Cocolina tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice moves Edson Miel could shoot a difficult shot in the 88th minute, which Quexal Cocolina however easily saved by the left post. After a rather tough play, Chapicuy's Policarpio Ziguenza got a free kick in the 91st minute. Quexal Cocolina took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carmelo Berges, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Chapicuy players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Merinos AFC from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
