After recieving a nice pass, Chapicuy's Lore Cejudo tried to score from far away in the 21st minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. The supporters of Chapicuy booed when SPORTIVO NUEVOS PESOS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ospin Mendivil didn't get a good kick on the ball. Carmelo Berges received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Mannie Cossio came out and tried to block the shot, but Carmelo Berges slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 27th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Chapicuy's zone, Lop Cabanela stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Idacio Bullon came out of the goal and Lop Cabanela tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 34th minute, Lop Cabanela managed to get in a good position for a shot. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Lop Cabanela made a kick off. In the 57th match minute, Chapicuy was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Egoitz Rajo to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 58 minutes, Lop Cabanela managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SPORTIVO NUEVOS PESOS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lop Cabanela was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 63 minutes into the match, SPORTIVO NUEVOS PESOS's goal looked a bit too open when Carmelo Berges came free, but Mannie Cossio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ospin Mendivil fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Idacio Bullon having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sebastián Rodriguez during the 72nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 71 minutes into the game, one of SPORTIVO NUEVOS PESOS:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Mannie Cossio stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Joselito Diez's shot from short distance in the 79th minute.
