Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Maturrango FC's Omero Lanzon got a good chance for a goal in the 3rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Red Bull Montevideo's Taurino Justo got a free kick in the 4th minute. Cosme Fortes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 15 minutes of play, Red Bull Montevideo's Leon Fanego made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Palos Tecla was left in no man's land by his defense there! Red Bull Montevideo's Modestio Pumar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Omero Lanzon in the 19th minute of play. Cosme Fortes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Palos Tecla tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 27th minute, Cosme Fortes made a precise shot to the right of Palos Tecla. Maturrango FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Palos Tecla showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Saturnino Jurado in the 36th minute of the match. Modestio Pumar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Omero Lanzon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After the first half Red Bull Montevideo were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Cosme Fortes made the kick off in the second half. In the 50th minute, one of Red Bull Montevideo:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Red Bull Montevideo. In the 52nd minute there was a penalty for Maturrango FC. Benicio Cenzano stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Modestio Pumar. 1-2. After 56 minutes, Lekubegi Juanes mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Maturrango FC and the Red Bull Montevideo players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Maturrango FC's Lekubegi Juanes got a free kick in the 56th minute. After having played for 62 minutes, Omero Lanzon managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Maturrango FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Omero Lanzon was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Leon Fanego had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Red Bull Montevideo booed when Maturrango FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cristian Charlo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Leon Fanego could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 69th minute of the match, but Palos Tecla made a huge save. Palos Tecla made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cosme Fortes in the 70th minute of play. After 71 played minutes Red Bull Montevideo got a freekick which was hit by Leon Fanego. If Alvaro Mugica had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Leon Fanego sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Omero Lanzon in the 79th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Modestio Pumar prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Alvaro Mugica fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Modestio Pumar having to interfere. The supporters of Red Bull Montevideo booed when Maturrango FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jokin Fuente didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 91st minute Cosme Fortes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Palos Tecla saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Leon Fanego got free with Palos Tecla in the 93rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of Red Bull Montevideo booed when Maturrango FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jokin Fuente didn't get a good kick on the ball. Maturrango FC's Palos Tecla played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cosme Fortes in the 95th minute of play. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Red Bull Montevideo eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
