Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Salomone Rado started the match with the kick off. Salomone Rado blasted a shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Zilar Varas having to make a save. Paul Gorbin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Andrew Peart tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 11 minutes, Paul Gorbin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Aguirre AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Paul Gorbin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Anselmo Llamosas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Paul Gorbin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Tacuarembo's zone, Paul Gorbin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Andrew Peart came out of the goal and Paul Gorbin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Inguma Meja hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. In the 37th minute of the match Giraldo Rigueiro shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Zilar Varas showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 41 minutes into the match, Tacuarembo's goalkeeper Andrew Peart had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Roger Flores. Roger Flores fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Andrew Peart having to interfere. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Paul Gorbin to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute Roger Flores shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Andrew Peart saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Roger Flores sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 76 minutes, Paul Gorbin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Zilar Varas was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Andrew Peart didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Paul Gorbin went, in the 96th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Despite being the better team, Aguirre AFC failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
