Ado Guceño fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Raitin Presilla having to interfere. 33 minutes into the game, one of Mataojo:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 34th minute there was a penalty for Heriberto AFC. Gonsalve Yebra stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Raitin Presilla. 1-1. 39 minutes into the match, Delmar Lasso notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Heriberto AFC's Xicu Baamonde. Xicu Baamonde was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Gaueko Pinillas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Heriberto AFC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Mataojo were winning 1-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Delmar Lasso was the one to do the kick off. Sixto Castejana hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vincent Echandi in the 56th minute of play forced Mataojo's goalkeeper Raitin Presilla to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Delmar Lasso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Heriberto AFC's Vincent Echandi in the 70th minute got a chance for a shot 70th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gaueko Pinillas in the 81st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Xicu Baamonde prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Gaueko Pinillas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In a very dangerous position, a player in Heriberto AFC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 88th minute. Penalty! The goalkeeper, Xicu Baamonde, was totally fooled by Mataojo's Pascual Montalvo, who 89 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gaueko Pinillas got free with Xicu Baamonde in the 94th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ado Guceño received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 100th minute. Raitin Presilla tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
