Eduino Gordo yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Espiridion Letran spun around in front of the goal 11 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Montevideo Torque's goal. Guillen Helguera kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. In the 22nd minute, Berbiz Lasurtigui hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 45th minute, one of Salamanca AFC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Salamanca AFC. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Lazaro Dias made the kick off in the second half. Eduino Gordo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fermin Riofrio, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. Santutxo Calderona struck a weak shot in the 62nd minute. Montrelle Forteza didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Salamanca AFC. Ramond Zapico fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eduino Gordo having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 77th minute, Fermin Riofrio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Montevideo Torque's supporters rose to their feet, but Fermin Riofrio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eduino Gordo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Fermin Riofrio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 82 minutes into the match, Fermin Riofrio had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Eduino Gordo. Salamanca AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Fermin Riofrio was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. If Fermin Riofrio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 97 minutes into the match, Salamanca AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Lazaro Dias came free, but Eduino Gordo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Montevideo Torque had won after a very even match.
