In the 10th minute, Garcia Torrea hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 12th minute, Faustino Fernandez got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 13th minute, Sendoa Zumalburu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Menafra FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Sendoa Zumalburu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Liher Taramona breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Faustino Fernandez in the 15th minute of play forced Barrancas AFC's goalkeeper Liher Taramona to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 18th minute, Sendoa Zumalburu reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Liher Taramona. The goal made the score 1-0. After having played for 21 minutes, Sendoa Zumalburu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Menafra FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sendoa Zumalburu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Faustino Fernandez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Sendoa Zumalburu came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the Menafra FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sendoa Zumalburu couldn't finish the play. Remir Cifuentes received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Liher Taramona came out and tried to block the shot, but Remir Cifuentes slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 26th minute. Sendoa Zumalburu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Liher Taramona showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Faustino Fernandez in the 36th minute of the match. In the 38th minute the ball was on its way in behind Barrancas AFC's goalkeeper Liher Taramona, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Faustino Fernandez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sendoa Zumalburu struck a weak shot in the 45th minute. Liher Taramona didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Menafra FC. Barrancas AFC's Bladi Vede suffered a concussion after 47 minutes and had to leave the field. When Beliran Esteban fell near the penalty area in the 48th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Menafra FC's protests and gave Beliran Esteban a yellow card for diving instead. In the 48th match minute, Menafra FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Beliran Esteban to maneuver through the defense. Gar Morillas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Everardo Amor, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Faustino Fernandez was the one to do the kick off. Txordon Enestrosa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Barrancas AFC's zone, Sendoa Zumalburu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Liher Taramona came out of the goal and Sendoa Zumalburu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Garcia Torrea fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gar Morillas having to interfere. The supporters of Barrancas AFC booed when Menafra FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Firme Lumeras didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sendoa Zumalburu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After a defensive mix-up in Barrancas AFC's zone, Sendoa Zumalburu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Liher Taramona came out of the goal and Sendoa Zumalburu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Barrancas AFC's Liher Taramona played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Faustino Fernandez in the 82nd minute of play. Liher Taramona made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sendoa Zumalburu in the 83rd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Barrancas AFC's Everardo Amor got a free kick in the 84th minute. 85 minutes into the match, Barrancas AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Sendoa Zumalburu came free, but Liher Taramona reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Remir Cifuentes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Liher Taramona having to interfere.
