If Raimundo Urquizu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 5th match minute, Merinos FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Paulo Masseda to maneuver through the defense. Osoro Arieta recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 6th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Minuano's Claudinei Majua proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 9th minute of the match, managed to save Minuano from getting a goal against them. Claudinei Majua took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Galindo Cardeiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Osoro Arieta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Maria Prior could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 21st minute of the match, but Claudinei Majua made a huge save. Galindo Cardeiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Claudinei Majua having to interfere. Minuano's Claudinei Majua proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 33rd minute of the match, managed to save Minuano from getting a goal against them. 34 minutes into the game, Merinos FC's Maria Prior nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Claudinei Majua made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Galindo Cardeiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Claudinei Majua tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Minuano's Claudinei Majua proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 39th minute of the match, managed to save Minuano from getting a goal against them. With his leg Claudinei Majua managed to avoid a goal in the 40thth minute, when Merinos FC's Maria Prior fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 43 minutes into the game, Xantalen Vea was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Minuano's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Merinos FC the free kick. After 43 played minutes Minuano got a freekick which was hit by Xantalen Vea. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Raimundo Urquizu made a kick off. The corner led Minuano's Dimo Menoyo to fire away a dangerous shot which Teodoro Isasaga despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. The supporters of Merinos FC booed when Minuano was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Osoro Arieta didn't get a good kick on the ball. Claudinei Majua showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Galindo Cardeiro in the 75th minute of the match. Galindo Cardeiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal.
