Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Ilazki Echevarria made the kick off which started today's match. Olayo Buzon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gaitan Laiseca, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Ilazki Echevarria had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 8th minute the ball was on its way in behind Soca AFC's goalkeeper Olayo Buzon, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Gaitan Laiseca scored 0-1 in the 9th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Olayo Buzon, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The supporters of Jimenez booed when Soca AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Raulo Barco didn't get a good kick on the ball. Raulo Barco hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. After having played for 15 minutes, Ofelio Suso managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Jimenez's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ofelio Suso was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Manny Enriquez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Valerio Albizu having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 21st minute, Ilazki Echevarria managed to get in a good position for a shot. Soca AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Ilazki Echevarria was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Valerio Albizu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Olayo Buzon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ofelio Suso, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. Gaitan Laiseca fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Olayo Buzon having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Soca AFC's zone, Gaitan Laiseca stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Olayo Buzon came out of the goal and Gaitan Laiseca tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some careless play in the Soca AFC defense, Delmar San kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Olayo Buzon. The Soca AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Olayo Buzon should have stopped the shot. Gaitan Laiseca sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gaitan Laiseca received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Olayo Buzon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half Jimenez were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gaitan Laiseca to strike the kick off in the second half. 56 minutes into the match, Manny Enriquez notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Jimenez's Valerio Albizu. Valerio Albizu was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Gaitan Laiseca recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 66 minutes, Gaitan Laiseca managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Jimenez's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gaitan Laiseca was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Hitzeder Salina hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Jimenez's zone, Manny Enriquez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Valerio Albizu came out of the goal and Manny Enriquez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Ofelio Suso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd rose to their feet as Jimenez's Gaitan Laiseca slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Olayo Buzon. That made the score 1-3 after 81 minutes of play. Olayo Buzon didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 90th minute, which inside left pole to 1-5. In the 96th minute Gaitan Laiseca shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Olayo Buzon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Gaitan Laiseca came up free with the goalie in the 98th minute, the Jimenez fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gaitan Laiseca couldn't finish the play. Jimenez's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
