Chepe Candano came out of the goal and Oriol Rosines tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Chepe Candano didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Zabal Güell went, in the 13th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. After 16 played minutes, Mosquitos AFC's Orixe Rivas shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Ambrosio Deleon came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Mosquitos AFC reached it. Angelo Morenas scored 1-1 in the 19th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ambrosio Deleon, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Zabal Güell to strike the kick off in the second half. Zabal Güell received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Mosquitos AFC's Rodrigo Vilar got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 68 minutes into the match, Piamontesa's goal looked a bit too open when Rodrigo Vilar came free, but Ambrosio Deleon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mosquitos AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Piamontesa the free kick. Mosquitos AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Oriol Rosines was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. Mosquitos AFC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
