Chapicuy AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Melo the free kick. When the match clock showed 10 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Braulio Vina sped through Chapicuy AFC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Benvido Rubayo. When Melo's Braulio Vina in the 23rd minute got a chance for a shot 23rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Chapicuy AFC's goalie prevented a goal. Braulio Vina struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Benvido Rubayo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Melo. After a defensive mix-up in Chapicuy AFC's zone, Lon Torrens stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Benvido Rubayo came out of the goal and Lon Torrens tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Anxo Sabon stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute Anxo Sabon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cresenciano Ucieda saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Melo's Ezkerra Pedrueca got a free kick in the 53rd minute. Ezkerra Pedrueca charged in rather forcefully in the 55th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ezkerra Pedrueca the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 56th match minute, Melo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ezkerra Pedrueca to maneuver through the defense. Ireno Guinao fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cresenciano Ucieda having to interfere. Helder Yanguas kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. 67 minutes into the game, Helder Yanguas cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Cresenciano Ucieda was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Melo's Cresenciano Ucieda played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anxo Sabon in the 74th minute of play. Hitzeder Cantabrana lost his temper 78 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 77th minute of the game. One of Chapicuy AFC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Melo:s goal. The referee gave Melo a penalty, 80 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Gomesano Binel, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Chapicuy AFC's Benvido Rubayo. 2-2. In the 92nd minute, Cristo Malla got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience was convinced that Braulio Vina's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Benvido Rubayo was relentless in the 94th minute of the game. Cidro Mimbreño's late challenge caught a Chapicuy AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cidro Mimbreño helped the player get up and apologised. Cidro Mimbreño kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. In the 98th minute, Nesto Eguia got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
