The supporters of Chapicuy AFC booed when Nando was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gonsalvo Isasi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Paulino Guanes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 17th match minute, Nando was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gonsalvo Isasi to maneuver through the defense. If Anxo Sabon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gonsalvo Isasi's late challenge caught a Chapicuy AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Paulino Guanes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anxo Sabon in the 56th minute of play. Loiola Macia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
