Domenec Gredilla recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 3rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 4th minute, Argider Eraña had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. After 4 minutes, Curcio Henestrosa mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Chamberlain and the Montevideo City players grew even worse after the yellow card. Curcio Henestrosa hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. Porfiro Polanco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Roger Callergos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 10 minutes into the match, Montevideo City's Domenec Gredilla sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Raphael Ferreira narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 12th minute, Serafo Monzonis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Raphael Ferreira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Damian Caroso, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. Domenec Gredilla received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Raphael Ferreira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Cristiano Morelos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 24th minute, Domenec Gredilla made a precise shot to the right of Raphael Ferreira. Chamberlain's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. In the 28th minute, Domenec Gredilla got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 32nd minute, Ubaldo Asturias hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Chamberlain's Raphael Ferreira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristiano Morelos in the 34th minute of play. 39 minutes into the match, Montevideo City's Soter Teijeira sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Raphael Ferreira narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The supporters of Montevideo City booed when Chamberlain was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nuno Renta didn't get a good kick on the ball. Domenec Gredilla sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Chamberlain players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Montevideo City were winning 0-2.

After having played for 68 minutes, Cristiano Morelos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Montevideo City's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristiano Morelos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Montevideo City's Cheche Ronda got a free kick in the 70th minute. Bernardo Bornes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Raphael Ferreira came out of the goal and Domenec Gredilla tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 81st minute, Bernardo Bornes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Raphael Ferreira made a fantastic save in the 84th minute, when Domenec Gredilla sent off a good shot on target. After some careless play in the Chamberlain defense, Domenec Gredilla kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Raphael Ferreira. The Chamberlain fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Raphael Ferreira should have stopped the shot. Domenec Gredilla fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Raphael Ferreira having to interfere. Montevideo City's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
