Gaizko Castejon recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 12th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Desire Campelo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 18 minutes, Gaizko Castejon managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rodriguez FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gaizko Castejon was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, Peter Morodo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sosa FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Peter Morodo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jenaro Senderos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Rodriguez FC booed when Sosa FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ovidio Herencia didn't get a good kick on the ball. Remigio Argüelles took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 23rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Mazuste Tezanos. Sosa FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 25 minutes into the match, Desire Campelo notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Sosa FC's Mazuste Tezanos. Mazuste Tezanos was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Rodriguez FC's Jenaro Senderos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Peter Morodo in the 34th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ovando Diguja during the 41st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Rodriguez FC booed when Sosa FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ovando Diguja didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 42 played minutes, Rodriguez FC's Remigio Argüelles shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Mazuste Tezanos came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Rodriguez FC reached it. Peter Morodo's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 44thth minute, Jenaro Senderos skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. The Sosa FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Rodriguez FC were winning 0-2.

With a little luck, Sosa FC's Mazuste Tezanos got control of the ball when Txeru Pardeo tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience was convinced that Desire Campelo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Mazuste Tezanos was relentless in the 58th minute of the game. Desire Campelo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jenaro Senderos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gil Noguer, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. Maureo Acacia hit a great ball. If Peter Morodo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 86th minute the ball was on its way in behind Rodriguez FC's goalkeeper Jenaro Senderos, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Remigio Argüelles made a great header on Rodriguez FC's corner, it was just that Sosa FC's Mazuste Tezanos managed to reach the ball for a save. If Gaizko Castejon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rodriguez FC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
