Palos Celada came out of the goal and Ignado Escamilla tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cutberto Naveda showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sabino Arrese in the 16th minute of the match. Cordarius Baza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Panfilo Folgueras's late challenge caught a Medina's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Panfilo Folgueras helped the player get up and apologised. After 22 played minutes Piamontesa got a freekick which was hit by Panfilo Folgueras. After 23 played minutes, Medina's Vasco Vigil shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Palos Celada came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Medina reached it. Enekoitz Bachicabo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cutberto Naveda having to interfere. When Medina's Cordarius Baza in the 26th minute got a chance for a shot 26th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Piamontesa's goalie prevented a goal. Ignado Escamilla could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 33rd minute of the match, but Palos Celada made a huge save. Cordarius Baza had several of the Piamontesa's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 34 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-0 score and a disappointed Palos Celada as he didn't even see the shot coming.

The wind increased when Cordarius Baza made the kick off in the second half. In the 57th minute Ignado Escamilla shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Palos Celada saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 61st minute, Siro Soraiz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 62 minutes into the game, Xulio Zuri was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Medina's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Piamontesa the free kick. In the 63rd match minute, Medina was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Xulio Zuri to maneuver through the defense. In the 72ndth minute of the game Sabino Arrese who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Medina's Cutberto Naveda was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Medina's Cutberto Naveda proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 78th minute of the match, managed to save Medina from getting a goal against them. If Sabino Arrese had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 82nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Medina's goalkeeper Cutberto Naveda, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sabino Arrese in the 92nd minute of play forced Medina's goalkeeper Cutberto Naveda to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sabino Arrese received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Cutberto Naveda tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Medina's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
