In the 58th minute, Gero Madama ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ignatius Velasquez was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. With a little luck, Verdun FC's Piearres Parral got control of the ball when Fulgencio Astiago tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Fulgencio Astiago had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
