Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Veremundo Montel started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. In the 5th minute, Martinez Careaga hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 6 minutes into the match, Sarandi's goal looked a bit too open when Vigil Elorza came free, but Laurin Barrena reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 8th minute, Rufio Agosto left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Rivera fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. 12 minutes into the match, Sarandi's goal looked a bit too open when Rufio Agosto came free, but Laurin Barrena reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 20 minutes, Norino Soria mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sarandi and the Rivera players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Sarandi's Norino Soria got a free kick in the 20th minute. When Gustau Seiro fell near the penalty area in the 24th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sarandi's protests and gave Gustau Seiro a yellow card for diving instead. Cordaro Cabredo missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 26 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Laurin Barrena right hand side. Nesto Laureano kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. Angel Torga was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 31st played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Vigil Elorza in the 39th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Laurin Barrena saved Sarandi from getting behind. When Sarandi's Veremundo Montel in the 49th minute got a chance for a shot 49th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Rivera's goalie prevented a goal. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
Laurin Barrena made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rufio Agosto in the 53rd minute. In the 53rd match minute, Sarandi was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tono Lebrato to maneuver through the defense. In the 58th minute, Vigil Elorza got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Rufio Agosto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vigil Elorza received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Laurin Barrena tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rufio Agosto got free with Laurin Barrena in the 64th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Maule Mauriz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Veremundo Montel in the 70th minute of play. After having played for 71 minutes, Martinez Careaga managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sarandi's supporters crossed their fingers, but Martinez Careaga was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Rivera's Cordaro Cabredo got a free kick in the 72nd minute. If Vigil Elorza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Maule Mauriz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Veremundo Montel in the 78th minute of play. After 81 played minutes Rivera got a freekick which was hit by Cordaro Cabredo. After 86 played minutes Sarandi got a freekick which was hit by Angel Torga. After a defensive mix-up in Sarandi's zone, Rufio Agosto stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Laurin Barrena came out of the goal and Rufio Agosto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Vigil Elorza blasted a shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Laurin Barrena having to make a save. The Sarandi supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Rivera's performance. The match ended with a win for Rivera.
