After a rather tough play, Gerona's Eleazar Lozana got a free kick in the 19th minute. When Misael Villabona fell near the penalty area in the 21st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Gerona's protests and gave Misael Villabona a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Capurro AFC booed when Gerona was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Misael Villabona didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 23rd minute, Aquilino Cortadelles got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Gerona getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Misael Villabona hit a great ball. Baiardo Mosquera succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-1 in the 24th playminute. Aquilino Cortadelles fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Veto Telena having to interfere. In the 40th minute, Capurro AFC's Aquilino Cortadelles dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-1. With a little luck, Gerona's Veto Telena got control of the ball when Baiardo Mosquera tried to sneak it across the goal line. Socorro Quizan struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Isidoro Miño didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gerona. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Socorro Quizan stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Isidoro Miño made an important save on a dangerous shot by Socorro Quizan in the 53rd minute. In the 54th match minute, Capurro AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Itzaina Seijas to maneuver through the defense. 55 minutes into the match, Gerona's Joel Feliz broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. In the 56th match minute, Capurro AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Perfecto Munarriz to maneuver through the defense. When Silbestre Horna fell near the penalty area in the 60th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. After recieving a nice pass, Capurro AFC's Ritchie Ovejas tried to score from far away in the 78th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Gerona's Silbestre Horna got his second yellow card of the match in the 81st minute. The referee ordered Silbestre Horna off the ground. Silbestre Horna kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. If Luciano Fortuño had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Veto Telena took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aquilino Cortadelles, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Xose Aranda hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aquilino Cortadelles in the 91st minute of play forced Gerona's goalkeeper Veto Telena to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Capurro AFC getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Ximeno Agra hit a great ball.
