In the 5th minute Tiburcio Antoñana shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Veto Telena saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Oriental's Hitzeder Roman proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 18th minute of the match, managed to save Oriental from getting a goal against them. Gerona's Veto Telena played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tiburcio Antoñana in the 20th minute of play. Misael Villabona sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Oriental's Tiburcio Antoñana got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Lixandro Oraa, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 28 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Veto Telena was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Veto Telena showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cugat Muga in the 32nd minute of the match. Tiburcio Antoñana recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 36th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Tiburcio Antoñana received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Veto Telena tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Veto Telena showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tiburcio Antoñana, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. In the 47th minute Lixandro Oraa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Veto Telena saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Lixandro Oraa made the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, Gerona's Veto Telena got control of the ball when Tiburcio Antoñana tried to sneak it across the goal line. Maura Caracedo kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. In the 63rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Oriental's goalkeeper Hitzeder Roman, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The tension between the Oriental and the Gerona players grew even worse after the yellow card. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tiburcio Antoñana got free with Veto Telena in the 85th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some fancy dribbling in the 88th minute, Lixandro Oraa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Oriental's supporters rose to their feet, but Lixandro Oraa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Veto Telena breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 89 minutes into the match, Gerona's goalkeeper Veto Telena had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tiburcio Antoñana. Gerona's Veto Telena proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 91st minute of the match, managed to save Gerona from getting a goal against them. In the 95th minute, Lixandro Oraa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the final whistle sounded Oriental left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Gerona.
