After having played for 5 minutes, Javier Mijancas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Piedritas's supporters crossed their fingers, but Javier Mijancas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Nicholas Maxenchs fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ciriaco Portera having to interfere. Rufo Forcat lost his temper 13 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Chacarita FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 13th minute. Penalty! Calvet Magarinos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Henric Suero, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Calvet Magarinos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lizar Rubayo in the 26th minute of play. In the 26th minute, Rutenio Pedrais hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lizar Rubayo in the 30th minute of play forced Chacarita FC's goalkeeper Calvet Magarinos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 33 minutes into the match, Javier Mijancas notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Chacarita FC's Calvet Magarinos. Calvet Magarinos was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Javier Mijancas was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 38th minute. Piedritas's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. When Flor Obaldia came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the Chacarita FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Flor Obaldia couldn't finish the play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

In the 51st minute, Lizar Rubayo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Lizar Rubayo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
