An unexpectedly hard shot by Lizar Rubayo in the 4th minute of play forced Florida's goalkeeper Jonatan Morellana to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jonatan Morellana showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Javier Mijancas in the 8th minute of the match. In the 10th minute Lizar Rubayo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonatan Morellana saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 12 played minutes Piedritas got a freekick which was hit by Lizar Rubayo. Ramone Cevallo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ciriaco Portera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 15th minute of play. If Lizar Rubayo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Estavan Izcaray kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. In the 27th match minute, Florida was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ramone Cevallo to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 28th minute, Franko Urrechua managed to get in a good position for a shot. Piedritas's supporters rose to their feet, but Franko Urrechua was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jonatan Morellana breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 33 played minutes Piedritas got a freekick which was hit by Artemio Valdevielso. The supporters of Florida booed when Piedritas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Orlando Reigosa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Florida's Ramone Cevallo couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 36th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Piedritas. Javier Mijancas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonatan Morellana having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Lizar Rubayo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jonatan Morellana was relentless in the 47th minute of the game. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Faron Angostina stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd match minute, Piedritas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marco Otero to maneuver through the defense. 53 minutes into the game, Florida's Vimaro Usarralde nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ciriaco Portera made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. If Faron Angostina had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Faron Angostina in the 69th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ciriaco Portera saved Piedritas from getting behind. Ciriaco Portera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Faron Angostina in the 75th minute of the match. 79 minutes into the match, Florida's goal looked a bit too open when Lizar Rubayo came free, but Jonatan Morellana reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jonatan Morellana made an important save on a dangerous shot by Javier Mijancas in the 82nd minute. Lizar Rubayo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonatan Morellana having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Florida had won after a very even match.
