Montrel Villoria stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mingo Cunyat's shot from short distance in the 28th minute. Confesor Colombres received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Confesor Colombres was the one to do the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Esperanza AFC's zone, Vidal Ojesto stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Maties Vidales came out of the goal and Vidal Ojesto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Confesor Colombres had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Vidal Ojesto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Vidal Ojesto came up free with the goalie in the 65th minute, the Palomas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vidal Ojesto couldn't finish the play. 67 minutes into the match, Palomas's goalkeeper Montrel Villoria had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mingo Cunyat. Llorienzo Ochotorena hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. After having played for 69 minutes, Mingo Cunyat managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Esperanza AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mingo Cunyat was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Confesor Colombres received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Montrel Villoria tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 83rd minute Mirande Alfeiran shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Maties Vidales saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mingo Cunyat struck a weak shot in the 87th minute. Montrel Villoria didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Esperanza AFC.
