Yaniusky Ubera made an important save on a dangerous shot by Valdo Licon in the 8th minute. 9 minutes into the match, Yaguari FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ricart Cena came free, but Gitano Cagigas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ricart Cena fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gitano Cagigas having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lauaxeta Llorden in the 14th minute of play forced Darwin's goalkeeper Yaniusky Ubera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gitano Cagigas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ricart Cena, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Yaniusky Ubera came out of the goal in the 22nd minute to try and stop a shot by Yaguari FC's Valdo Licon. But to his dismay, Valdo Licon quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Darwin's Yaniusky Ubera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 27th minute of the match, managed to save Darwin from getting a goal against them. If Lauaxeta Llorden had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 31 minutes into the match, Yaguari FC's goal looked a bit too open when Estevez Pi came free, but Gitano Cagigas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dolcet Avila in the 32nd minute of play forced Yaguari FC's goalkeeper Gitano Cagigas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bautista Abres's late challenge caught a Darwin's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bautista Abres helped the player get up and apologised. Bautista Abres hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. Gitano Cagigas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dolcet Avila in the 35th minute of play. Yaguari FC were awarded a corner in the 42th minute after Darwin's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Cecilio Nobal took the corner. Darwin's Yaniusky Ubera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 45th minute of the match, managed to save Darwin from getting a goal against them. Dolcet Avila struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Gitano Cagigas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Darwin. In the 47th minute Lauaxeta Llorden shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Yaniusky Ubera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Lauaxeta Llorden to make the kick off. Lauaxeta Llorden fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Yaniusky Ubera having to interfere. Yaguari FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 54th minute, when Dolcet Avila scored to the left of an out of position Gitano Cagigas, making the score, 1-1. In the 58th minute, Darwin's Weterio Sarceada seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Weterio Sarceada the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Darwin protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Weterio Sarceada had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 57th minute, one of Darwin:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Darwin. In the 63rd minute, Luken Lavet hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Darwin's Fanuco Raigal managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Cecilio Nobal in the 65 minute of the game. 68 minutes into the match, Yaguari FC's goalkeeper Gitano Cagigas had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ricart Cena. Ramirez Valino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gitano Cagigas having to interfere. 76 minutes into the game, Elia Zermeño recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Gitano Cagigas. Elia Zermeño showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-2. After having played for 80 minutes, Elia Zermeño managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Darwin's supporters crossed their fingers, but Elia Zermeño was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 81st minute, Bautista Abres hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 84 minutes, Sayvion Rebolledo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Yaguari FC and the Darwin players grew even worse after the yellow card. An unexpectedly hard shot by Valdo Licon in the 88th minute of play forced Darwin's goalkeeper Yaniusky Ubera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Yaguari FC's Gitano Cagigas proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 94th minute of the match, managed to save Yaguari FC from getting a goal against them. Ricart Cena recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 98 minutes, Elia Zermeño managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Darwin's supporters crossed their fingers, but Elia Zermeño was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
