After 24 minutes, Leonardo Hortuño mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Bolivar and the Quintana players grew even worse after the yellow card. Xavies Barreiros showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Serafin Orgaz in the 29th minute of the match. Txomin Ursua fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hector Verdesoto having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Serafin Orgaz in the 39th minute of play forced Bolivar's goalkeeper Xavies Barreiros to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gombal Berga in the 44th minute of play forced Quintana's goalkeeper Hector Verdesoto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Serafin Orgaz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Xavies Barreiros having to interfere. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

In the 56thth minute of the game Serafin Orgaz who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Bolivar's Xavies Barreiros was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Txomin Ursua had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 87th minute, Serafin Orgaz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Quintana's supporters rose to their feet, but Serafin Orgaz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Xavies Barreiros breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Serafin Orgaz blasted a shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Xavies Barreiros having to make a save. Dabi Rioja hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. Quintana's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
