When Taio Trelles fell near the penalty area in the 20th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Risso's protests and gave Taio Trelles a yellow card for diving instead. In the 20th minute, Taio Trelles hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 44th minute of the match, Artal Acacia tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Eustacio Feliph saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Juanito Azcunaga's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Eustacio Feliph read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 48th minute of play.

If Frantxizko Panguision had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Estevao Legaspe during the 75th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Risso reached it. After 76 played minutes Piriapolis AFC got a freekick which was hit by Edson Laurencio. Risso's Frantxizko Panguision got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Piriapolis AFC's Juanito Azcunaga got a free kick in the 88th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Juanito Azcunaga in the 90th minute of play forced Risso's goalkeeper Eustacio Feliph to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
