Araoz Marfa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 7 minutes into the match, Vejigas FC's goal looked a bit too open when Elia Belon came free, but Maximo Cagigal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Maximo Cagigal stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Elia Belon's shot from short distance in the 13th minute. Valentim Estremiana could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 16th minute of the match, but Maximo Cagigal made a huge save. Elia Belon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Elia Belon to strike the kick off in the second half. Valentim Estremiana blasted a shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Maximo Cagigal having to make a save. If Valentim Estremiana had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Maximo Cagigal didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Elia Belon went, in the 56th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. After 59 minutes, Socorro Calon mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Vejigas FC and the Mercedes players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Mercedes booed when Vejigas FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Socorro Calon didn't get a good kick on the ball. Maximo Cagigal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Elia Belon, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. In the 62nd minute, Valentim Estremiana made a precise shot to the right of Maximo Cagigal. Vejigas FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. When Socorro Calon came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the Vejigas FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Socorro Calon couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Mercedes getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Xamin Casadevante hit a great ball. Araoz Marfa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Astigar Bolinaga having to interfere. 77 minutes into the match, Mercedes's goal looked a bit too open when Socorro Calon came free, but Astigar Bolinaga reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Xamin Casadevante recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Vejigas FC getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Claris Fernandez hit a great ball. Astigar Bolinaga made a fantastic save in the 84th minute, when Araoz Marfa sent off a good shot on target. Mercedes's Astigar Bolinaga proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 85th minute of the match, managed to save Mercedes from getting a goal against them. After having played for 87 minutes, Araoz Marfa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vejigas FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Araoz Marfa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Maximo Cagigal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Elia Belon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Valentim Estremiana sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 95 minutes into the match, Vejigas FC's goal looked a bit too open when Elia Belon came free, but Maximo Cagigal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 97 minutes, Elia Belon managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mercedes's supporters crossed their fingers, but Elia Belon was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 98th minute Xamin Casadevante shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Maximo Cagigal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. For all the effort they put into the match, the Vejigas FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Mercedes.
