The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Ambrosio Azcarate took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rodrigo Guareña, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Guadalupe's Rami Zumaya got control of the ball when Gonsalve Masdeu tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience was convinced that Vellito Cueto's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rami Zumaya was relentless in the 6th minute of the game. In the 7th minute, Gartzi Remolino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ambrosio Azcarate showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Paquito Saucedo, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. A collision led to Cambara AFC getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Tabor Benedid hit a great ball. In the 14th minute Rodrigo Guareña shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ambrosio Azcarate saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Vellito Cueto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Guadalupe's Rami Zumaya proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 20th minute of the match, managed to save Guadalupe from getting a goal against them. Vellito Cueto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rami Zumaya having to interfere. Ambrosio Azcarate showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paquito Saucedo in the 24th minute of the match. In a very dangerous position, a player in Cambara AFC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 29th minute. Penalty! Gonsalve Masdeu struck a weak shot in the 34th minute. Rami Zumaya didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cambara AFC. Chumo Anillo hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice moves Gonsalve Masdeu could shoot a difficult shot in the 42nd minute, which Rami Zumaya however easily saved by the left post. After the first half Guadalupe were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Cambara AFC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 52nd minute, when Chumo Anillo scored to the left of an out of position Ambrosio Azcarate, making the score, 0-2. In the 56th minute Rodrigo Guareña shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ambrosio Azcarate saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rodrigo Guareña in the 57th minute of play forced Cambara AFC's goalkeeper Ambrosio Azcarate to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Gonsalve Masdeu fell near the penalty area in the 59th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cambara AFC's protests and gave Gonsalve Masdeu a yellow card for diving instead. If Rodrigo Guareña had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Machado Serena kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Paquito Saucedo got free with Ambrosio Azcarate in the 85th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 87th minute, Guadalupe's Rodrigo Guareña ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Ambrosio Azcarate. Ambrosio Azcarate yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-3. Chumo Anillo kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. Cambara AFC's Ambrosio Azcarate played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Francho Zubizarrieta in the 97th minute of play. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Guadalupe eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
