With an extended leg and a bit of luck Stanislao Manojo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Stanislao Manojo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Manex Irizar in the 7th minute of play. The supporters of Berruti booed when Franquia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ongile Garnelo didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Berruti's Aznaro Monedero in 14 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Stanislao Manojo guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. Berruti's Edgard Lezarazo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 15th minute of the match, managed to save Berruti from getting a goal against them. The audience was convinced that Perfecto Alire's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Edgard Lezarazo was relentless in the 17th minute of the game. Mendebal Urquia hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Aznaro Monedero in the 47th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Stanislao Manojo saved Franquia from getting behind. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Manex Irizar was the one to do the kick off. Stanislao Manojo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Manex Irizar in the 95th minute of play. For all the effort they put into the match, the Berruti players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Franquia.
