The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After some fancy dribbling in the 5th minute, Oskitz Mondragon managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lapuente FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Oskitz Mondragon was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nicasio Churruca breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 6 played minutes Averias got a freekick which was hit by Abilio Albino. Paquito Gaitan kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. Lapuente FC's Normando Sala couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 10th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Averias. When Oskitz Mondragon came up free with the goalie in the 12th minute, the Lapuente FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Oskitz Mondragon couldn't finish the play. 13 minutes into the match, Averias's goal looked a bit too open when Sebastiano Fresco came free, but Nicasio Churruca reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 19 minutes into the match, Lapuente FC's goal looked a bit too open when Sanchez Cevallo came free, but Bixintxo Cabada reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gonzo Ribeiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bixintxo Cabada having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sanchez Cevallo in the 22nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bixintxo Cabada prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience was convinced that Gonzo Ribeiro's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bixintxo Cabada was relentless in the 23rd minute of the game. Sanchez Cevallo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bixintxo Cabada having to interfere. Gonzo Ribeiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Bixintxo Cabada tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bixintxo Cabada didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gonzo Ribeiro went, in the 42nd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. 46 minutes into the game, Averias's Gonzo Ribeiro nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Bixintxo Cabada made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. The Lapuente FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Averias were winning 0-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gonzo Ribeiro stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When the match had gone on for 54 minutes, Gonzo Ribeiro took a quick shot and it went in 0-3 without a chance for Bixintxo Cabada to make any attempt to save it. If Oskitz Mondragon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 59thth minute of the game Sebastiano Fresco who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Averias's Nicasio Churruca was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Belasko Corada during the 67th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Bixintxo Cabada took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gonzo Ribeiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bixintxo Cabada showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gonzo Ribeiro in the 72nd minute of the match.
