In the 6th minute, Eneas Doblas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 13th minute, Marcos Sella got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 14 played minutes Uruguay FC got a freekick which was hit by Xaven Espuga. Carolo Ligero showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Baltasar Tablares, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. Llorienzo Campo charged in rather forcefully in the 20th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Llorienzo Campo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 21st match minute, Piriapolis was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Llorienzo Campo to maneuver through the defense. Baltasar Tablares sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Eneas Doblas kicked a quick shot right in front of the goal in the 25thth minute. Though ot was a great shot Piriapolis's keeper Carolo Ligero was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. The supporters of Uruguay FC booed when Piriapolis was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zeru Arrillaga didn't get a good kick on the ball. Eneas Doblas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Carolo Ligero tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pes Sardaneta's late challenge caught a Uruguay FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Pes Sardaneta helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Piriapolis's Pes Sardaneta got a free kick in the 36th minute. Carolo Ligero took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Baltasar Tablares, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 42nd minute, Baltasar Tablares reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Carolo Ligero. The goal made the score 1-0. Marcos Sella received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 49th minute. Curcio Bidania tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Beat Ugartondo made the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Baltasar Tablares in the 57th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Carolo Ligero saved Piriapolis from getting behind. Curcio Bidania made an important save on a dangerous shot by Marcos Sella in the 60th minute. In the 62nd minute of the match Piriapolis got a corner. Uruguay FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Angelino Veladiez ran over to the corner to take the kick. In the 63rd minute Beat Ugartondo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Curcio Bidania saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Piriapolis booed when Uruguay FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Koldo Caldero didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Piriapolis's Angelino Veladiez got a free kick in the 68th minute. In the 69th minute, Valiente Mazuelo sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Piriapolis's Carolo Ligero didn't even have to move. Uruguay FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
