In the 16th minute Boniel Calzada shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mambru Ajorbe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Adriana Ordas didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gudesteo Vana went, in the 24th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. In the 29th minute, Pacho Leon ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Adriana Ordas was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. The audience thought a goal was coming when Oso Holguin got free with Mambru Ajorbe in the 34th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some careless play in the Trigo AFC defense, Pacho Leon kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Adriana Ordas. The Trigo AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Adriana Ordas should have stopped the shot. After the first half Chacarita AFC were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gudesteo Vana made a kick off. After a rather tough play, Trigo AFC's Hugo Baldonado got a free kick in the 94th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Pascoal Lopez during the 96th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Chacarita AFC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
