Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Mataojito FC's Jacinto Sesse started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When Firman Detres fell near the penalty area in the 3rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Union AFC's protests and gave Firman Detres a yellow card for diving instead. Jacinto Sesse received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Dimo Matheu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 12 minutes into the match, Lidon Remolino dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Txomin Picardo, 1-0. Dimo Matheu came out of the goal in the 15th minute to try and stop a shot by Mataojito FC's Mincho Uncal. But to his dismay, Mincho Uncal quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Mincho Uncal's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dimo Matheu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 18th minute of play. If Mincho Uncal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With his leg Txomin Picardo managed to avoid a goal in the 26thth minute, when Union AFC's Lidon Remolino fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Jacinto Sesse received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Dimo Matheu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Eusebio Guerrez in the 32nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Txomin Picardo saved Mataojito FC from getting behind. When Firman Detres was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 41 minutes had been played. The supporters of Mataojito FC booed when Union AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Firman Detres didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 42nd minute of the match Ioritz Gamboa sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Dimo Matheu skillfully saved the ball. Moise Maruri hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

52 minutes in the game, Jacinto Sesse fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Dimo Matheu having to interfere. Mincho Uncal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Dimo Matheu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 56 minutes into the match, Mataojito FC's Jacinto Sesse sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dimo Matheu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Dimo Matheu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mincho Uncal in the 59th minute. After 60 played minutes Union AFC got a freekick which was hit by Moise Maruri. Mincho Uncal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dimo Matheu having to interfere. A collision led to Mataojito FC getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Peter Turiel hit a great ball. Lidon Remolino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jacinto Sesse was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 73rd minute. Mataojito FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Lidon Remolino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Txomin Picardo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lidon Remolino blasted a shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Txomin Picardo having to make a save. Mincho Uncal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dimo Matheu having to interfere. With a little luck, Union AFC's Dimo Matheu got control of the ball when Mincho Uncal tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 89th match minute, Union AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Turi Lizanein to maneuver through the defense. After 91 played minutes Mataojito FC's Mincho Uncal stole the ball from his opponents and shot the ball towards the upper left corner, but Dimo Matheu stretched himself as far as he could, and stopped the ball from passing the line. robbing Union AFC of the goal. Dimo Matheu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mincho Uncal in the 93rd minute. 94 minutes into the match, Jacinto Sesse dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Dimo Matheu, 1-2. The Mataojito FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Mataojito FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
