Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Corderun Santaren started the match with the kick off. Duardo Sufiria showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aritza Turres in the 3rd minute of the match. After 5 played minutes Sauzal FC got a freekick which was hit by Rolando Laine. In the 8th minute, Xoan Chanza ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Duardo Sufiria was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Aritza Turres struck a weak shot in the 11th minute. Duardo Sufiria didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sauzal FC. After a rather tough play, Montes FC's Braulio Adames got a free kick in the 12th minute. A collision led to Sauzal FC getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Garcia Larrinaga hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Geronimo Canales in the 20th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rolando Ciencabrero saved Sauzal FC from getting behind. Duardo Sufiria stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Aritza Turres's shot from short distance in the 23rd minute. Aritza Turres fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Duardo Sufiria having to interfere. Aritza Turres might have been able to make a better finish in the 28th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Duardo Sufiria. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Aritza Turres ran back to his position shaking his head. Geronimo Canales succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-1 in the 30th playminute. When Geronimo Canales came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the Montes FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Geronimo Canales couldn't finish the play. Corderun Santaren sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Corderun Santaren in the 38th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rolando Ciencabrero saved Sauzal FC from getting behind. 44 minutes had been played when some careless play by Montes FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Eutor Retortillo was slow to take the kick. During this time Sauzal FC's players had a chance to rest. Duardo Sufiria showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Xoan Chanza, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Aritza Turres to strike the kick off in the second half. Aritza Turres received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Duardo Sufiria tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 56th match minute, Montes FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Xacobo Sabugal to maneuver through the defense. Eutor Retortillo, 57 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Duardo Sufiria made an important save on a dangerous shot by Xoan Chanza in the 59th minute. A collision led to Sauzal FC getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Ovidio Olavarria hit a great ball. Rolando Ciencabrero showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Corderun Santaren, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. Corderun Santaren fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rolando Ciencabrero having to interfere. Rolando Ciencabrero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Corderun Santaren in the 75th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 77th minute, Geronimo Canales managed to get in a good position for a shot. Montes FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Geronimo Canales was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rolando Ciencabrero breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 77 minutes, Estevon Pariente mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sauzal FC and the Montes FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Montes FC booed when Sauzal FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Estevon Pariente didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 79th minute, Geronimo Canales hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rolando Ciencabrero showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Geronimo Canales, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. In the 93rd minute, Geronimo Canales ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rolando Ciencabrero was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. Sauzal FC's Xoan Chanza got a good chance for a goal in the 96th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Sauzal FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
