The referee ignored Sequeira FC's protests and gave Anselmo Saladrigues a yellow card for diving instead. Chale Alamos scored 2-1 in the 22nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Manel Hontoria, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 29 minutes into the match, Union FC's Juan-Carlos Pas sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Manel Hontoria narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The tension between the Union FC and the Sequeira FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. 64 minutes into the game, Sequeira FC's Xofre Carradelo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Juan-Carlos Olarria made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 69th minute, Xofre Carradelo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sequeira FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Xofre Carradelo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Juan-Carlos Olarria breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 72nd match minute, Sequeira FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anselmo Saladrigues to maneuver through the defense. Chale Alamos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Sequeira FC's Manel Hontoria played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Juan-Carlos Pas in the 81st minute of play. Through an outstanding action, after 84 minutes, Manel Hontoria successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 88th minute of the match Union FC got a corner. Sequeira FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Roque Sorribo ran over to the corner to take the kick. Union FC's Roque Sorribo was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Manel Hontoria in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Manel Hontoria showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Juan-Carlos Pas, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. Andy Corujo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Sequeira FC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
