Libertad Maya made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Claudio Vallina in the 7th minute of play. If Armando Cines had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 12 minutes into the match, Armando Cines notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Chamberlain's Matxin Abril. Matxin Abril was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a rather tough play, Piedritas's Nuno Algorta got a free kick in the 16th minute. In the 18th match minute, Chamberlain was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fernado Menocal to maneuver through the defense. Resto Arizcuns short, quick shot in the 19thth minute got Matxin Abril to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Resto Arizcun in the 24th minute of play forced Chamberlain's goalkeeper Matxin Abril to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Claudio Vallina recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Piedritas's Libertad Maya played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Furtado Robles in the 36th minute of play. The supporters of Piedritas booed when Chamberlain was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Montel Velazco didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Claudio Vallina had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 46th match minute, Piedritas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Salvadore Arandoja to maneuver through the defense. 47 minutes in the game, Furtado Robles dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The audience was convinced that Armando Cines's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Matxin Abril was relentless in the 53rd minute of the game. 56 minutes into the match, Piedritas's Armando Cines sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Matxin Abril narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Resto Arizcun came up free with the goalie in the 68th minute, the Piedritas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Resto Arizcun couldn't finish the play. Chamberlain's Matteo Marines got his second yellow card of the match in the 71st minute. The referee ordered Matteo Marines off the ground. After 72 played minutes Chamberlain got a freekick which was hit by Matteo Marines. Piedritas's Armando Cines got a good chance for a goal in the 73rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 78th match minute, Chamberlain was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Furtado Robles to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 84 minutes, Claudio Vallina managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Chamberlain's supporters crossed their fingers, but Claudio Vallina was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 86th minute, Felo Aleson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Furtado Robles blasted a shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Libertad Maya having to make a save. Armando Cines sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 93 minutes, Furtado Robles mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Chamberlain and the Piedritas players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 93 played minutes Chamberlain got a freekick which was hit by Furtado Robles. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Resto Arizcun managed to get in a good position for a shot. Piedritas's supporters rose to their feet, but Resto Arizcun was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Matxin Abril breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
