Reimundo Baelo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Escudero. Chepe Villodas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Reimundo Baelo having to interfere. In the 12th match minute, Paysandu AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ranolfo Sasiain to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Paysandu AFC's Ranolfo Sasiain got a free kick in the 14th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 19th minute, Elazar Bayon managed to get in a good position for a shot. Escudero's supporters rose to their feet, but Elazar Bayon was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Reimundo Baelo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Reimundo Baelo made a fantastic save in the 21st minute, when Elazar Bayon sent off a good shot on target. Reimundo Baelo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Chepe Villodas in the 24th minute of play. After some careless play in the Paysandu AFC defense, Chepe Villodas kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Reimundo Baelo. The Paysandu AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Reimundo Baelo should have stopped the shot. 32 minutes into the match, Elazar Bayon had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Reimundo Baelo. Paysandu AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Elazar Bayon was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Reimundo Baelo made a fantastic save in the 35th minute, when Elazar Bayon sent off a good shot on target. In the 38th minute, Chepe Villodas fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Reimundo Baelo made a fantastic save in the 39th minute, when Elazar Bayon sent off a good shot on target. In the 45th match minute, Paysandu AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vachon Peso to maneuver through the defense. In the 47th minute Chepe Villodas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Reimundo Baelo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

After 52 played minutes Paysandu AFC got a freekick which was hit by Fernando Bernaldez. The supporters of Escudero booed when Paysandu AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fernando Bernaldez didn't get a good kick on the ball. After recieving a nice pass, Escudero's Uxio Astiategui tried to score from far away in the 58th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. In the 61st minute, Elazar Bayon left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Escudero fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. With a little luck, Escudero's Dolcet Ballina got control of the ball when Xavian Pedroza tried to sneak it across the goal line. Xavian Pedroza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dolcet Ballina having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Richie Arichaga in the 72nd minute of play forced Escudero's goalkeeper Dolcet Ballina to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Escudero booed when Paysandu AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edson Ajamil didn't get a good kick on the ball. Escudero's Elazar Bayon got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Chepe Villodas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Reimundo Baelo having to interfere. In the 83rd minute Richie Arichaga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dolcet Ballina saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Richie Arichaga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dolcet Ballina having to interfere. Dolcet Ballina made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Richie Arichaga in the 89th minute of play. If Richie Arichaga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 92 played minutes Escudero got a freekick which was hit by Zayveon Leyarte. Escudero walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
