The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After having played for 11 minutes, Frantxizko Remesal managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Aigua's supporters crossed their fingers, but Frantxizko Remesal was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ospin Caneda charged in rather forcefully in the 14th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ospin Caneda the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Aigua booed when Santiago FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ospin Caneda didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 16th minute of the match Faro Bugarin sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Joey Viera skillfully saved the ball. Frantxizko Remesal kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. Intxixu Maquibar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Intxixu Maquibar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Frantxizko Remesal took the ball and in the 31 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Joey Viera. Joey Viera dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. A collision led to Santiago FC getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Ospin Caneda hit a great ball. In the 39th minute, Faro Bugarin sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Santiago FC's Joey Viera didn't even have to move. 47 minutes into the match, Santiago FC's goal looked a bit too open when Frantxizko Remesal came free, but Joey Viera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After the first half Aigua were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Frantxizko Remesal who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 53rdth minute tested the skills of Joey Viera when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Aitor Granja showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Intxixu Maquibar, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. A collision led to Santiago FC getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Remigio Sufiria hit a great ball. Osvaldo Galantia blasted a shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Aitor Granja having to make a save. In the 65th minute Intxixu Maquibar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aitor Granja saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Aitor Granja showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Osvaldo Galantia in the 68th minute of the match. Frantxizko Remesal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Intxixu Maquibar's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Aitor Granja read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 73rd minute of play. The Santiago FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Aigua's performance. The match ended with a win for Aigua.
