After 4 played minutes Geofredo Braña rounded Sarandi FC's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-0. After some careless play in the Vejigas AFC defense, Guipuzkoa Aguileta kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Roland Danzo. The Vejigas AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Roland Danzo should have stopped the shot. Calisto Zuriarrain showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Geofredo Braña, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. 24 minutes into the game, Baladi Quijano was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sarandi FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Vejigas AFC the free kick. Baladi Quijano kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. Chinto Briceño sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Chinto Briceño in the 32nd minute of play forced Vejigas AFC's goalkeeper Roland Danzo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Geofredo Braña managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vejigas AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Geofredo Braña was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Calisto Zuriarrain breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Chinto Briceño had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

Roland Danzo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Chinto Briceño in the 61st minute of the match. In the 66th match minute, Sarandi FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cisco Villatreses to maneuver through the defense. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gaur Urreche during the 72nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Sarandi FC booed when Vejigas AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gaur Urreche didn't get a good kick on the ball. Vejigas AFC's Roland Danzo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 73rd minute of the match, managed to save Vejigas AFC from getting a goal against them. Chinto Briceño might have been able to make a better finish in the 82nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Roland Danzo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Chinto Briceño ran back to his position shaking his head. Denis Bajo was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 86th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Chinto Briceño received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Roland Danzo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Roland Danzo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Chinto Briceño, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Chinto Briceño struck a weak shot in the 96th minute. Roland Danzo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sarandi FC. Many of Sarandi FC's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Sarandi FC may have spent more time on the ball, but Vejigas AFC were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
