After 11 minutes, Melchazadec Fontecavada mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Durazno and the Vejigas AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Melchazadec Fontecavada kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. Ronaldo Navarro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aresti Sella in the 16th minute of play. Medero Recio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roland Danzo having to interfere. After 29 played minutes Durazno got a freekick which was hit by Frasquito Sagredo. Geofredo Braña sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Aresti Sella managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vejigas AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Aresti Sella was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ronaldo Navarro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Geofredo Braña's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ronaldo Navarro read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 33rd minute of play. 36 minutes into the match, Vejigas AFC's goalkeeper Roland Danzo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gomesano Oyanguren. In the 39th minute Aresti Sella shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ronaldo Navarro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Geofredo Braña sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 48 minutes into the match, Vejigas AFC's Geofredo Braña sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ronaldo Navarro narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Geofredo Braña to make the kick off. Vejigas AFC's Geofredo Braña got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Melchazadec Fontecavada kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. 58 minutes into the match, Vejigas AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Gomesano Oyanguren came free, but Roland Danzo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Medero Recio might have been able to make a better finish in the 63rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Roland Danzo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Medero Recio ran back to his position shaking his head. Gomesano Oyanguren fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roland Danzo having to interfere. With an all-out effort, Vejigas AFC's Ronaldo Navarro threw himself towards the right post 66 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Geofredo Braña, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 69th minute Geofredo Braña shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ronaldo Navarro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Roland Danzo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Medero Recio in the 70th minute of the match. After 71 played minutes Durazno got a freekick which was hit by Romulo Martua. Aresti Sella's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 76thth minute, Ronaldo Navarro skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Ronaldo Navarro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Geofredo Braña, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Gomesano Oyanguren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 91 minutes of play, Vejigas AFC's Aresti Sella made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ronaldo Navarro was left in no man's land by his defense there! Medero Recio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roland Danzo having to interfere. In the 97th minute Gomesano Oyanguren shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roland Danzo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Vejigas AFC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
