Ferman Velo's late challenge caught a Castillo FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ferman Velo helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Rivera AFC getting a freekick after 2 minutes play. Ferman Velo hit a great ball. Amadeo Sanles took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mel Aranzabe, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Favila Suso hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. 15 minutes into the match, Castillo FC's goalkeeper Fidensio Cetina had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Barea Horduña. In the 26th minute Cordarius Estramiana shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fidensio Cetina saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Castillo FC defense, Barea Horduña kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Fidensio Cetina. The Castillo FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Fidensio Cetina should have stopped the shot. Amadeo Sanles made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mel Aranzabe in the 36th minute of play. Mel Aranzabe sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Amadeo Sanles showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zabal Goztros, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. When Ferman Velo came up free with the goalie in the 48th minute, the Rivera AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ferman Velo couldn't finish the play.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Mel Aranzabe stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Zabal Goztros got free with Amadeo Sanles in the 54th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The audience was convinced that Mel Aranzabe's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Amadeo Sanles was relentless in the 63rd minute of the game. Barea Horduña fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fidensio Cetina having to interfere. Zabal Goztros fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Amadeo Sanles having to interfere. Zabal Goztros sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, Mel Aranzabe managed to get in a good position for a shot. Castillo FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Mel Aranzabe was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Amadeo Sanles breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Zabal Goztros recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Barea Horduña sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Zabal Goztros got free with Amadeo Sanles in the 81st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Lain Bañuelos took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 87th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Fidensio Cetina. Castillo FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Castillo FC's Fidensio Cetina played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Barea Horduña in the 89th minute of play. Benvide Urtado kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. The corner led to Rivera AFC's Argi Izaguirre getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
