The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Gabirel Guardia hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. Santo Escalante took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pablo-Enrique Platas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Aldomiro Elicegui struck a weak shot in the 10th minute. Leheren Artigue didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Buricayupi. Turi Celada scored 1-0 in the 12th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Leheren Artigue, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Bilintx Rolon hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. Santo Escalante took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Silbestre Villabona, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 17 played minutes Buricayupi got a freekick which was hit by Aldomiro Elicegui. Pablo-Enrique Platas kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Silbestre Villabona in the 22nd minute of play forced Buricayupi's goalkeeper Santo Escalante to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 27th minute, Elazar Pelaz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 28th minute of the game. One of Buricayupi:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Aigua:s goal. Felipo Bueras walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. 33 minutes into the match, Buricayupi's goal looked a bit too open when Silbestre Villabona came free, but Santo Escalante reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Santo Escalante made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pablo-Enrique Platas in the 34th minute of play. Leheren Artigue made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aldomiro Elicegui in the 40th minute of play. 45 minutes into the game, Silbestre Villabona cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Santo Escalante was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Aldomiro Elicegui to make the kick off. Santo Escalante showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Silbestre Villabona, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. After 60 minutes, Gabirel Guardia mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Buricayupi and the Aigua players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 60 played minutes Buricayupi got a freekick which was hit by Gabirel Guardia. Pablo-Enrique Platas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Santo Escalante tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Silbestre Villabona sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Fernandez Jimilio during the 65th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Buricayupi booed when Aigua was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fernandez Jimilio didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 68th match minute, Buricayupi was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bilintx Rolon to maneuver through the defense. In the 70th minute, Silbestre Villabona fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. 75 minutes into the match, Aigua's goal looked a bit too open when Gabirel Guardia came free, but Leheren Artigue reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 79 minutes into the match, Turi Celada had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Leheren Artigue. Aigua's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Turi Celada was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. Aldomiro Elicegui sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 86 minutes into the match, Buricayupi's Turi Celada sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Leheren Artigue narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aldomiro Elicegui in the 91st minute of play forced Aigua's goalkeeper Leheren Artigue to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Aldomiro Elicegui received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Leheren Artigue tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Buricayupi fans cheered their team off the field, for while Aigua had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
