In the 3rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Canelones FC's goalkeeper Eliu Pontones, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Rafe Mendoza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sugoi Arona having to interfere. If Rafe Mendoza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sugoi Arona took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Yoelvis Amada, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Goi Bellogin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Goi Bellogin in the 22nd minute of play forced Canelones FC's goalkeeper Eliu Pontones to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Guaviyu booed when Canelones FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Urko Vitores didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 28th minute, Telesforo Olaisola got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 29 minutes into the game, Gillermo Aldaeta was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Canelones FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Guaviyu the free kick. In the 29th match minute, Canelones FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gillermo Aldaeta to maneuver through the defense. Eliu Pontones showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Goi Bellogin in the 30th minute of the match. 38 minutes into the match, Canelones FC's Rafe Mendoza sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Sugoi Arona narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 42nd minute, one of Canelones FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Canelones FC. After a defensive mix-up in Guaviyu's zone, Yoelvis Amada stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sugoi Arona came out of the goal and Yoelvis Amada tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After the first half Guaviyu were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Goi Bellogin made the kick off in the second half. Quin Ambrosio blasted a shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Eliu Pontones having to make a save. Canelones FC's Yoelvis Amada got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rafe Mendoza in the 66th minute of play forced Guaviyu's goalkeeper Sugoi Arona to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 72nd match minute, Guaviyu was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fermin Aranzabal to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 74 minutes, Rafe Mendoza managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Canelones FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rafe Mendoza was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Rafe Mendoza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sugoi Arona having to interfere. Goi Bellogin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eliu Pontones having to interfere. In the 85th minute Goi Bellogin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eliu Pontones saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Telesforo Olaisola had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 89th minute, Telesforo Olaisola managed to get in a good position for a shot. Guaviyu's supporters rose to their feet, but Telesforo Olaisola was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eliu Pontones breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Yoelvis Amada struck a weak shot in the 93rd minute. Sugoi Arona didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Canelones FC. Telesforo Olaisola received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Eliu Pontones tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Guaviyu's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
