In the 4th minute the ball was on its way in behind Chacarita FC's goalkeeper Baumer Barma, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Vedillo Puente fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Baumer Barma having to interfere. Baumer Barma made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alfredo Vuelva in the 7th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Vedillo Puente in the 9th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Baumer Barma prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 12 minutes into the match, Chacarita FC's goal looked a bit too open when Alfredo Vuelva came free, but Baumer Barma reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 17 minutes into the game, Chacarita FC's Rito Santianes nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Goito Antecha made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Vedillo Puente in the 21st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Baumer Barma prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cecilio Mathey during the 23rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Goito Antecha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tello Urtueta in the 27th minute of play. A collision led to Heriberto getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Cecilio Mathey hit a great ball. Rito Santianes came free with the goalkeeper in the 47th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Goito Antecha could save by the left post. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Alfredo Vuelva stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Heriberto booed when Chacarita FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tello Urtueta didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alfredo Vuelva could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 55th minute of the match, but Baumer Barma made a huge save. Vedillo Puente sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rito Santianes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Goito Antecha having to interfere. Goito Antecha took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tello Urtueta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 71 minutes, Tello Urtueta managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Chacarita FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tello Urtueta was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tello Urtueta in the 76th minute of play forced Heriberto's goalkeeper Goito Antecha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rito Santianes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Goito Antecha tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Errolan Mas came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the Heriberto fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Errolan Mas couldn't finish the play. 99 minutes into the match, Rito Santianes had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Goito Antecha. Heriberto's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Rito Santianes was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Chacarita FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Heriberto had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
