Igon Barrasa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rocendo Ribacoba, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. Fidencio Godoy took the ball and in the 17 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Igon Barrasa. Igon Barrasa dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. After a rather tough play, Riachuelo's Errolan Andinyach got a free kick in the 24th minute. After 24 played minutes, Chuy FC's Filomeno Olazagoitia shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Igon Barrasa came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Chuy FC reached it. Rocendo Ribacoba received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Lordi Abastas to make the kick off. In the 53rd match minute, Chuy FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lugo Porrata to maneuver through the defense. Benjamin Bernabeytia, 54 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. In the 61st minute the ball was on its way in behind Chuy FC's goalkeeper Ferrando Folgoso, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 64 played minutes Chuy FC got a freekick which was hit by Iztal Cimbron. In the 65th minute, Sauveur Galarza left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Riachuelo fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. When Rocendo Ribacoba came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the Chuy FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rocendo Ribacoba couldn't finish the play. In the 76th minute, Jonas Balines hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The crowd rose to their feet as Fidencio Godoy kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Igon Barrasa. That made the score 1-2 in the 77 minute of play. In a very dangerous position, a player in Riachuelo fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 82nd minute. Penalty! An unexpectedly hard shot by Fidencio Godoy in the 87th minute of play forced Riachuelo's goalkeeper Igon Barrasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Chuy FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
