After 25 minutes of play Artigas's Clawirton Arruga was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After having played for 32 minutes, Joaquin Resamano managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Artigas's supporters crossed their fingers, but Joaquin Resamano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Juan-Alfredo Orgera could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 35th minute of the match, but Laurendi Collante made a huge save. Fero Indart showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joaquin Resamano, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. When Joaquin Resamano came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the Artigas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Joaquin Resamano couldn't finish the play. Juan-Alfredo Orgera received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Laurendi Collante tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Lucas Soterraña made a kick off. If Gizon Bargues had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Joaquin Resamano in the 71stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal.
