But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Firman Taramona couldn't finish the play. 19 minutes into the game, Turupi's Firman Taramona nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Albano Botello made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Beremundo Tebar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adan Canales in the 22nd minute of the match. Casomiro Barahona kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. In the 27th minute, Karlo Villa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Casomiro Barahona fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Albano Botello having to interfere. If Casomiro Barahona had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Firman Taramona received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Albano Botello tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 37 minutes into the match, Firman Taramona notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Vejigas's Albano Botello. Albano Botello was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Adan Canales to strike the kick off in the second half. Sergio Trevilla kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. Turupi's Balasi Campillo couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 56th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Vejigas. In the 57th minute, Arias Cabañas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Casomiro Barahona sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Adan Canales sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 72 minutes into the match, Turupi's goalkeeper Beremundo Tebar had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gaztea Queiruga. Beremundo Tebar stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Adan Canales's shot from short distance in the 73rd minute. One of Turupi:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Vejigas:s goal. After a defensive mix-up in Vejigas's zone, Casomiro Barahona stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Albano Botello came out of the goal and Casomiro Barahona tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 91st minute the ball was on its way in behind Vejigas's goalkeeper Albano Botello, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Firman Taramona's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Albano Botello read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 96th minute of play. Turupi were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
