The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 7th minute, Vitorino Cotobal fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Aurre Castriciones showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vitorino Cotobal, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. Belarmo Abendano hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. Procopio Encina sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Carqueja's Duarte Buerga played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vitin Alanis in the 29th minute of play. In the 30th minute, Carqueja's Vitorino Cotobal ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Aurre Castriciones. Aurre Castriciones yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. In the 35th minute Domiku Jalon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Duarte Buerga saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 38 minutes into the match, Carqueja's goal looked a bit too open when Vitin Alanis came free, but Duarte Buerga reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vitin Alanis in the 40th minute of play forced Carqueja's goalkeeper Duarte Buerga to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vitorino Cotobal was extremely unlucky when he, in the 48th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Vitin Alanis to strike the kick off in the second half. Aurre Castriciones showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Procopio Encina in the 54th minute of the match. The supporters of Roja booed when Carqueja was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Orlondo Gallarde didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Domiku Jalon got free with Duarte Buerga in the 57th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Belarmo Abendano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the Roja defense, Procopio Encina kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Aurre Castriciones. The Roja fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Aurre Castriciones should have stopped the shot. The audience was convinced that Vitorino Cotobal's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Aurre Castriciones was relentless in the 70th minute of the game. After 73 played minutes Carqueja got a freekick which was hit by Criston Alcocer. In the 77th minute of the match Lluterio Isasaga sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Duarte Buerga skillfully saved the ball. After 81 minutes, Orlondo Gallarde mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Carqueja and the Roja players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Carqueja getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Orlondo Gallarde hit a great ball. Domiku Jalon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Duarte Buerga tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Duarte Buerga stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Vitin Alanis's shot from short distance in the 84th minute. After 92 minutes of play, Carqueja's Vitorino Cotobal made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Aurre Castriciones was left in no man's land by his defense there! The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Carqueja had won after a very even match.
