Coquimbo FC's Urdaspal Lama got a good chance for a goal in the 7th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Eustaquio Costeras struck a weak shot in the 10th minute. Gaizko Riba didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Veras. Frascuelo Murga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Gaizko Riba tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Obano Real fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Boniel Salazano having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Obano Real got free with Boniel Salazano in the 23rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 30th minute the ball was on its way in behind Veras's goalkeeper Boniel Salazano, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Eustaquio Costeras received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Gaizko Riba tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 38th minute, Urdaspal Lama reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Boniel Salazano. The goal made the score 2-0. After a defensive mix-up in Veras's zone, Urdaspal Lama stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Boniel Salazano came out of the goal and Urdaspal Lama tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Frascuelo Murga scored 2-1 in the 47th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gaizko Riba, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Eustaquio Costeras was the one to do the kick off. Boniel Salazano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Obano Real in the 57th minute of the match. Urdaspal Lama fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Boniel Salazano having to interfere. Gaizko Riba took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eustaquio Costeras, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Roberto Morata's late challenge caught a Veras's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Roberto Morata helped the player get up and apologised. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Mauricio Arcaya during the 65th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 64 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Coquimbo FC! In the 66th minute there was a penalty for Veras. Azibar Barriobero stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Gaizko Riba. 2-3. 73 minutes into the match, Coquimbo FC's Urdaspal Lama sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Boniel Salazano narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 79th minute, Frascuelo Murga managed to get in a good position for a shot. Veras's supporters rose to their feet, but Frascuelo Murga was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gaizko Riba breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In a very dangerous position, a player in Coquimbo FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 80th minute. Penalty! Coquimbo FC:s Gaizko Riba showed great skill when he stopped Azibar Barriobero:s penalty. After 82 minutes of play, Veras's Azibar Barriobero made it 2-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gaizko Riba was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 86thth minute of the game Obano Real who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Veras's Boniel Salazano was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Gaizko Riba made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eustaquio Costeras in the 88th minute of play. If Eustaquio Costeras had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Frascuelo Murga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 105th minute the ball was on its way in behind Coquimbo FC's goalkeeper Gaizko Riba, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Veras had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
