Dolcet Mielgo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Basajaun Arraiz in the 8th minute of play forced Lavalleja's goalkeeper Bidari Tofino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ederono Lahoz came free with the goalkeeper in the 10th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Dolcet Mielgo could save by the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Delmar Cianca in the 17th minute of play forced Pinchazo FC's goalkeeper Dolcet Mielgo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ederono Lahoz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 19th minute of the match, but Dolcet Mielgo made a huge save. The supporters of Lavalleja booed when Pinchazo FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Illart Vidal didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Ederono Lahoz came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the Lavalleja fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ederono Lahoz couldn't finish the play. Montez Olave hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. Ederono Lahoz struck a weak shot in the 24th minute. Dolcet Mielgo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lavalleja. Bidari Tofino showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cosme Bodes in the 32nd minute of the match. 33 minutes into the game, Fix Cao was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Lavalleja's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Pinchazo FC the free kick. After 33 played minutes Lavalleja got a freekick which was hit by Fix Cao. Pinchazo FC's Cosme Bodes got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 36 minutes, Basajaun Arraiz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pinchazo FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Basajaun Arraiz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Lavalleja getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Nuno Lillo hit a great ball. During the 44th minute of the match Fix Cao completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Fix Cao a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After 45 played minutes Lavalleja got a freekick which was hit by Fix Cao.
The wind increased when Ederono Lahoz made the kick off in the second half. Lavalleja's Ederono Lahoz got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 64th minute, Gomez Igartua hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Pinchazo FC's Dolcet Mielgo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ederono Lahoz in the 67th minute of play. The Pinchazo FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Pinchazo FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
