After 17 minutes, Americo Coviella mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Tapia and the Fagundez FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Americo Coviella hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. In the 20th match minute, Fagundez FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ignazio Sudupe to maneuver through the defense. Severiano Olano scored 1-0 in the 23rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Orlandus Cardeños, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Santos Galindo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Victorino Muga in the 27th minute of the match. In the 32nd match minute, Tapia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zeru Arraiz to maneuver through the defense. After 33 played minutes, Fagundez FC's Norberto Lobelo shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Santos Galindo came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Fagundez FC reached it. The audience thought a goal was coming when Severiano Olano got free with Orlandus Cardeños in the 40th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 44th match minute, Fagundez FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zoilo Santervas to maneuver through the defense. Velasco Viera received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Orlandus Cardeños tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Orlandus Cardeños made an important save on a dangerous shot by Severiano Olano in the 47th minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Velasco Viera stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Severiano Olano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Orlandus Cardeños tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Zeru Arraiz's late challenge caught a Fagundez FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Zeru Arraiz helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Fagundez FC booed when Tapia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zeru Arraiz didn't get a good kick on the ball. 67 minutes into the match, Fagundez FC's goal looked a bit too open when Velasco Viera came free, but Orlandus Cardeños reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Ysidro Zorrilla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Victorino Muga in the 70th minute of play forced Tapia's goalkeeper Santos Galindo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Evangelista Oñate charged in rather forcefully in the 73rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Evangelista Oñate the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In a very dangerous position, a player in Fagundez FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 73rd minute. Penalty! Arnaldo Terme shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. In the 76th minute Velasco Viera shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Orlandus Cardeños saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Ysidro Zorrilla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Valery Marañon tried in the 91st minute to hit away a contribution but miss-kicked the ball which ended up in his own goal and left an unhappy Santos Galindo a with quite unnecessary self made goal. Result 2-2. Ysidro Zorrilla fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Santos Galindo having to interfere. Fagundez FC were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Tapia to leave the ground with a draw.
